Gol papdi is a simple sweet made during Dassara / Navarathri festival in many household using wheat flour and jaggery as prasadam. This sweet was introduced by my neighbor friend. Traditionally, poppy seeds are used as topping, but I used sesame seeds..
Preparation time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: 3 minutes 30 seconds
Serves: 15 ~ 20 pieces
Ingredients:
½ cup whole wheat flour / chappathi flour
¼ cup ghee
⅓ cup grated jaggery
1 tbsp milk
½ tsp cardamom powder
½ tsp sesame seeds or poppy seeds
Method:
1. Grease pan or plate with ghee and sprinkle sesame seeds on it.
2. Combine ghee and wheat flour in a microwave safe bowl and microwave it for 3 minutes, 30 seconds on high. Stir in between in regular interval.

3. Remove from the microwave and add the jaggery, milk and cardamom powder while mixture is hot. Mix well until jaggery disslove completely.
4. Pour the mixture into the greased plate with sesame seeds.
5. When still warm, spread the mixture evenly with spatula.
6. Cut into any shapes while still warm.Store it in air tight container.
