Sakkarai Thengai Aval / Sugar Coconut Aval

Sakkarai Thengai Aval / Sugar Coconut Aval
Sakkarai aval is a simple naivedyam which I used to prepare for most festival occasion as a offering to God, specially for Krishna jayanthi/ Janmastami which is a birthday of Lord Krishna.  There are different methods in making this recipe and I have followed a simple and easy method..

Preparation time: 10 minutes
Serves: 2 ~ 3

Ingredients:1 cup thin or medium aval/poha
¼ cup fresh shredded coconut
¼ cup sugar or to taste
¼ cardamom powder

Method:
Sakkarai Thengai Aval / Sugar Coconut Aval
  • Wash aval / poha in a cool water.
  • Squeeze the water completely from aval and rest it for 5 minutes.
  • Add sugar, coconut & cardamom. Mix gently and serve.
