Onion Raita / Pyaz ki sabji

Onion Raita / Pyaz ki sabji

                 
                    Onion Raita is simplest and easiest dish to prepare but best accompaniment with Briyani, pulao, spicy mixed rice etc.. and also have lot of healthy benefits where onion  have endless benefits as they have powerful antiseptic and anti bacterial properties. Cup of curd a day will give essential vitamins  like B5, B12, potassium, riboflavin, zins, phosphorous and iodine which helps us to stay healthy....So don't miss this dip in your every day meal to make it complete.

Total time: 5 ~ 7 minutes
Preparation time: 5 ~ 7 minutes
Cooking time: nil

Yield: 4 ~ 5

Ingredients:
3 medium size onions,  julienned
2 tbsp chopped tomatoes( optional)
1 cup of  fresh thick curd
2 tbsp minced cilantro
2 green chilies, minced or ¼ tsp red chili powder to taste
Salt to taste

Onion Raita / Pyaz ki sabji

Method:

  • In a mixing bowl, throw in julienned  onions, minced cilantro, green chillies or red chilli powder.
  • Gently mix every thing together and then  add curd, tomatoes(optional) and salt to the mixture. Mix gently  and enjoy with any spicy rice or parathas.

Note: Add salt as a last ingredient which will avoid the raita becoming water....
