Banana Bread Bonda

   This spongy bonda  is very quick to make in  less time but  different from regular bonda and taste similar to sweet paniyaram.  Try and sure your kids will love it..

Total time: 20 minutes
Preparation time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: 15 minutes
Serving : 20 ~ 25 nos depends upon the size

Ingredients:
2 large banana or 2 cups of sliced banana
4 bread slices or 2 cups of bread pieces
4 green chillies or to taste
2 tbsp rice flour
2 tbsp besan or chickpea flour
1 tbsp of sugar
2/8 tsp of salt
oil for deep frying

Method:

Perparation:

  • Peel  banana skin, cube and measure it to 2 cups.
  • Remove crust from the bread slices, cube and measure it to 2 cups.
  • Crumb bread pieces in a food processor or mixer grinder.
  • Mince green chilies or crush it and keep it aside.
  • Mix all ingredients in a bowl with no oil.
  • knead the mixture with out adding water till it comes to dough consistency  and leave it for a minute.

Cooking:

  • Heat oil in a pan at medium heat.
  • Make small balls from the dough and drop it in to the oil.
  • Fry till it turns to golden brown color.
  • Serve with any chutney..

Note: You can use any variety of breads. I used wheat bread for this recipe.  Taste will change according to the sweetness of the bread. If you prefer salt bread and doesn't like sweetness,avoid sugar in your recipe...Alter sugar and spice according to your need.
