Mushroom Peas Puloa

After returning from long trip, I decided not to spent much time in kitchen & want some thing very tasty and refreshing and it let me do this delicious puloa. Very tasty on try & njoy...


Ingredients:

Basmathi Rice / Long grain Rice - 1 cup
Onion - 1( medium, chopped)
Tomato - ½ ( small, chopped)
Mushroom - 10 ~ 15 nos or to taste( Chopped desired pieces)
Peas - ½ cup
Turmeric powder - A pinch
Water - 2cups
Salt - To taste

For Grinding:

Green chilies - 3 ~4 or to taste.
Ginger Garlic - paste 1tsp each
Mint & cilantro leaves - 1 cup, Chopped
Fennel seeds -  ½tsp

For Seasoning:

Oil - 2tbsp + 2 tsp Ghee
Cardamon - 1
Cinnamon - 1 inch stick
Bay leaves - 1

Method:

Wash & soak rice for 15 minute & drain it.
Grind the grinding ingredients into fine paste & keep it aside.
In a Pan, add 1tsp of  ghee & fry soaked rice for few seconds and keep it aside.
In same pan, Pour Oil & Ghee then add seasoning Ingredient.
After few seconds, add Onion and  Saute till it turns golden brown color.
Add the ground paste with turmeric powder & fry till raw smell disappear & oil leaves the mixture.
Then add chopped mushroom & peas with tomato & saute for 5 ~ 7 minutes.
Now add fried rice, 2 cups of water & salt.
Mix well & adjust the salt to taste.
When mixture starts to boil vigorously, Cover with lid & reduce the heat to low.
Cook for another 10 minutes & turns off the heat.
Mix gently & serve hot with spicy gravy or any Raitha.
